  Lest we forget ...

ANZAC Day Bugler

This weekend, Investec Super Rugby matches across New Zealand and Australia  remember the ANZACs in Round 11.

The Hurricanes, Crusaders and Chiefs have called on local services to be part of pre and half time match activity.

As well as bucket collections, online fans can donate to the RSA - click here for details.

Matches in New Zealand will pay special tribute to the ANZACs and to RSA members at the start of each match, and a massive poppy will be painted on the field of play at all three New Zealand host venues.

Whistle while you work -  Our own Chris Pollock becomes just the sixth Kiwi referee to clock up half a tonne in Super Rugby.  Only five other refs have made the 50-match milestone since the competition started in 1996.  Nicknamed Polly, Pollock joins an impressive honours list with Paddy O'Brien 55 matches, Kelvin Deaker 58, Paul Honiss 59, Bryce Lawrence 60, and former NZ referee Steve Walsh 73.

The high flying Chiefs have joined forces to help a NZDF recruitment drive. A Seasprite SH-2G helicopter will fly the match ball into Waikato Stadium on Saturday.  At 16.1m long, 4.6m tall and a rotorblade span of 13.4 metres it can lift over 1800kg. Meanwhile, the Chiefs have launched The Big Three Chiefs 3 Pack Membership for the Sharks, Crusaders and Hurricanes matches plus a free GA ticket to the Western Force. The offer closes 5pm, Saturday 27 April so Get In Now.

Singing Blues - A few of Sir JK's boys auditioned for new Auckland-based webseries The Factory, produced by comedian and performer Vela Manusaute. The Factory tells the story of a Pacific Island family who compete in a talent quest amongst the factories of South Auckland.  Fans have been able to audition online and vote for their favourite cast members. Manusaute tried out for the Blues in exchange for a few Blues' auditions.

Sam I-Adam -  Showing how they keep it in the family, two of the four Crusaders' Whitelock brothers Sam and Adam took time out to share a little about the advantages of having a family reunion at every training and game day.  Watch that here.

Coming up this weekend

Hurricanes v Stormers
7.35pm, Friday 26 April, FMG Stadium, Palmerston North

Teams Head to Head

Although the Stormers are three places behind the Hurricanes on the table, history favours the South African side. From their 14 contests to date, the Stormers have triumphed in eight, including last year's 39-26 win in Cape Town and have 370 points to the 'Canes' 317 (that's 26.4 per game to 22.6).  The last time they met in Wellington was in 2009, and the home side were the victors 34-11.

Reds v Blues
10.40pm (NZT), Friday 26 April, Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane
Teams Head to Head

With the Reds' 23-11 win last year in Auckland, they chalked up three straight wins over the Blues - two round robin matches and the 2011 semifinal in Brisbane on their way to the title - but there's not much between these two. The Reds have 10 wins, the Blues have eight and there has been one draw.  There's only a smudge between them when it comes to points though: the Blues have 463 (24.4) to the Reds 473 (24.9).

Chiefs v The Sharks
7.35pm, Saturday 27 April, Waikato Stadium, Hamilton
Teams Head to Head

The Chiefs and The Sharks last met in the 2012 Investec Super Rugby Final at this same venue: a match that saw the Chiefs crowned Champions with a 37-7 win and earn their ninth win to The Sharks' eighth from 17 contests.
If the home side earns their 10th win on Saturday, they'll also chalk up their fifth consecutive win over The Sharks and have a chance to extend their very slender points lead, which currently stands at 419 (24.6) to 416 (24.4).

Compare the two teams
Crusaders v Rebels
4.05pm, Sunday 28 April, AMI Stadium (Addington), Christchurch
Teams Head to Head

In 2012 the Rebels pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the competition when they downed the Crusaders 28-19 at AAMI Stadium in Melbourne. That was the first time these two had met in-season, having missed out on each other in 2011.  The Crusaders have won 43 of their 66 contests against Australian sides since 1996 for a winning record of 65 per cent.

Qualifier Two: Bulls v Cheetahs at Loftus Versfeld, Pretoria
